The known position of F4WEC
I was first licenced in 1979 with G6NWJ it took me 3 years to pass my Morse test But I did and got G4UPF in 1982, I went to the Radio Rally held in Birmingham UK and bought my first rig a TRIO TS-430S. I Joined RAYNET and had a lot of Fun, I Joined my local Radio Club and soon became their President, I met my first wife on a RAYNET outing, Got married and gave up my Radio because the frequent outings had to stop to preserve my marriage, All to no avail she left anyway, I then met my second Wife Line Dancing, She encouraged me to take up Radio Amateur again by this time we were living in France and my good friend Jacques F6BZJ helped me get my French licence of F4WEC, I do love this Hobby and would recommend anyone to give it a try. I bought my second rig from Jacques a Yaesu FT450D, which I use every day, Jacques also helped me put up my antenna , A Windom FD4 situated approx North to South. you can find me most days on 20 Meters, Although I do venture onto all the other bands. Best 73 de John F4WEC.
