Who is G0YCE
Hi to everyone, I'm G0YCE Pippo and this is my official UK Ham Callsign released at the begining of May 2018 from Ofcom United Kingdom.
This is the continuous of my activity by my other Italian Callsign IK7YCE here in northern land. I'm glad to obtain my same italian suffix ''YCE'' but surprised to obtain ''G0'' prefix, I'expected ''M0'', but probably it's just a result of released callsign since 1994 in Italy. What could I want better?
I'm living in the district of the Greatest Manchester area, and here, lots are the things to deserve to be viewed, but come back to radio world, of course new call, new all.
I must forget my 344 countries dxcc worked as IK7YCE (he will continue to live), here i will start from ZERO.....as the number in my prefix.
The only heredity is operator's handle, and all experiences of my amateur radio past in Italy.
Not all evil comes for harm, new challenges and new spurs are ready to becoming reality.
Isn't nice thing to start over, but the desire to continue this fantastic hobby who seems like
more a life style for me. I'm join to the RSGB ASSOCIATION, and I merge my ''G0'' call in my ARRL LoTW italian
account. My interest of course, is exactly the same in the past, hunting countries for DXCC program
in all bands allowed, IOTA program, and mainly known AWARDS, mainly known DX Contest as CQWW, ARRL, WPX, ARI DX, and few others.
The setup of my ham shack is the follow for now:
Rigs: FTdx-3000D Yaesu HF/6m, FT-897D Yaesu HF/VHF/UHF/6m, TS-450SAT Kenwood HF (backup), Amplifier ACOM-1000 HF/6m (new black model edition), TH-F7 Kenwood V/UHF dual bander, HeilSound Pro-7 headphones, Antenna Cobweb 10-12-15-17-20m, Ultimate dxtreme 72' endfed wire antenna for low bands, X200 Diamond V/UHF, 2 el. 50MHz LFA-Q Super-Gainer Quad Style Yagi Innovantennas, Logbooks Bblogger and Logger32, but anyhow this sector is in constant evolution.
