The known position of IM0LZK

Who is IM0LZK

I am Luca, I was born on Como Lake in the sixties, near HB9 (Suisse border) and lived there till I got my fist Ham license back in 1989
Since I was 14 years old I begin to play with radio (Citizen Band) and then I continued with DX operation on the 11 meter band before passing my Ham Radio Exams (full Grade A HAM license with CW text ) in Milano back in 1989.
I have been very active for few years from 1990 to 1992 as IK2OFT and then after a major time of no radio time I moved my residency to the little village of CALASETTA on San Antioco Island from year 2000 in the South West of Sardinia, right in the Mediterranean Sea where my father family roots came from.
Due to my work, working in the Hospitality industry, and moving from one place to another ( I lived in many places in Italy, Gland UK, VP2V and IS0 Sardinia) and had no time for the radio since the pandemic started in 2020, then I had the chance to get off the boxes all my radio gear and try to be more ON THE AIR with the Radio Ham worldwide community.
I like very much ICOM radios and I still have an old 1990 IC 765 that I use regularly as well as some newer IC 7300 SDR radio and a VHF/UHF FM IC 2820 and a latest YAESU FT991A that I use when I am not on the island.
I do have an original Kenwood TL922 if I need some extra power for the DX.
I love DX and enjoy very much 10 meter Band as well as I love to build some of my antennas such as Windom, Morgain (now I enjoy 40 meter dx as well) and Yagi for higher bands.
I have a new vertical , GAP Titan DX to set and try from my seaside location, to see how the water nearby give response to the use of this typer o multiband vertical antenna.
If you do hear me on the air, please give me a call I will be very pleased to have a QSO
73's and God bless you form sunny San Antioco Island.
