Appassionato di RTX sin dal adolescenza inizia il percorso come CB al età di 14 anni, si dedica al mondo della costruzione antenne filari onde corte e BCL, vericali J-pole per la nascente frequenza dei 50 Mhz
Iscritto al ARI RadioClub fin dalla giovane età poi passato al gruppo sperimentatori CISAR oggi rientrato in ARI Sez. Belluno
nel 1991 acquisisce la licenza SWL con nominativo IT9-2920
nel 1992 acquisisce per esame patente Radioamatoriale Speciale con nominativo IW9EMF
nel 1993 acquisisce certificato RTF per NAVI
nel 1995 acquisisce diploma di Radiotelegrafista di bordo rilasciato dal IPISAM
nel 2003 acquisisce Patente di Classe A - Senza Esami in quanto già radiotelegrafista con nominativo IT9LYC
nel 2016 dopo trasferimento in zona 3 gli viene assegnato nominativo IU3GPT
Attualmente appassionato di QRP FT8
