I started as CB way back in 1974 using two handheld radios by the japanese brand "SKYFON".
In 1980, I bought an out-of-band CB transceiver, which I used to make several DX contacts—both international and local.
In 1980, I bought an out-of-band CB transceiver, with which I made several foreign and local DX contacts, until 1993 when I obtained my international amateur radio license after also learning to transmit and receive in CW.
Currently, I enjoy experimenting with satellite links, such as those with the International Space Station (ISS).
