Hi, I am originally from the state of New Jersey, I moved to scenic South-West Michigan 11 years ago to be near my family.
I started in radio in 1977 with CB. I soon graduated to SSB when I heard all the DX. 1st radio was a Royce 40 ch AM 4W. Next was a Cobra SSB rig modified for off band. Finally came a Yaesu 101/e 100W beautiful tube radio. I used a PDL-2 directional antenna at 40'.
My 1st license was KC2LPG in NJ around 2010. I was re-licensed in 2023, general class. 1st radio was the Yeasu FT DX10,
in 12-2025 I bought a FT DX101MP. My antennas are: Alpha Delta fan dipole for all bands 20-10M ans I use a BuddiPole deluxe for any band 40-6M. I use it mainly on 30M today. Both of these antennas are inside of a large attic, at +/- 45' (13.5 meters)
