Solar Propagation Banners and Widgets
Add live solar and HF propagation data to your website, blog, club page or forum signature. Pick a banner, copy the code, done: it always shows current values.
Wide banner (468 x 60)
Solar flux, sunspots, A, K and X-ray plus the four HF band groups. Fits the top of a page.
Small panel (200 x 150)
Six key indices in a compact box. Good for sidebars.
HF band conditions (240 x 170)
Day and night conditions for the four HF band groups.
Vertical banner (160 x 290)
All indices and HF conditions in a narrow column.
How it works
Each banner is a small image generated on the fly from the live data, so it updates by itself: browsers refresh it every few minutes. Paste the HTML where you want it to appear. The link back to this page is part of the code and keeps the data credit visible; please leave it in place.
Build your own widget
Prefer your own design? Read the values from the JSON feed. A minimal example:
Gadgets and apps
The XML feed uses the same element names as the widely used solar.xml layout (solarflux, aindex, kindex, xray, sunspots, solarwind, magneticfield, calculatedconditions), so desktop and mobile gadgets that let you set the data URL can often be pointed to it. Compatibility depends on the gadget and is not guaranteed.
Banners are SVG images, supported by all modern browsers and most site builders. Some forum software only accepts PNG or GIF for signatures.
